Over A Month!

If you're reading this from New England, you can probably understand why I haven't posted.
The fact is we got 60+ inches of snow in 3-4 weeks and all my bikes are burried so I can't get to the storage to work on them or add new ones!

No real updates to report. I submitted the paperwork for Vermont registration of the gray market Ducati I bought so I'm hoping all goes well and I can take 'legal' possession of it and start working on it when the snow's gone.

I gave up searching for an OEM, mint upper fairing for the 2003 CBR954RR so I bought a new one from Honda:

Price? $300 shipped. Which really is a bargain given that it's OEM and has the graphics already supplied. Now I just need to find a tank and that bike will be 100% ready for sale.

I'm sort of hunting for an old Suzuki GS1000E/S. The GS1000S is the Wes Cooley replica.

I did see one on Craigslist a month or so ago and wish I had bought it. It was a replica of a replica.

A few small issues with it regarding bodywork/paint but otherwise a nice looking bike.
I like the old Japanese bikes where the tank was level with the seat, if you understand what I'm saying. The GS1000L was too much of a cruiser bike for me.

It just doesn't have the same appeal as the GS1000E or GS1000S. Oh well, some day I'll find one.

Until next time,
See you on the road!

  1. Had a GS1000E/S back in the day; It felt big, heavy and slow and got a LOT of comments. Brings the phrase "wish I still had it" to mind every time I see one.
